In the Aeolian archipelago, youll find a lifestyle that holds quietude in high regard, as a UNESCO World Heritage site would. Salina is the greenest island, recognisable for its wild fennel and oregano scent, and plenty of Malvasia specialised wineries; Vulcano could impress anyone with the unique panorama on its smoking crater and sulphurous fumes; Stromboli is widely renowned for its active volcano and its spectacular fire shows; Filicudi and Alicudi, almost untainted by tourism, make a dreamy hideaway for slow-pace and nature lovers.

In the summer, Lipari, the largest island, is flooded with tourists, and Panarea, the smallest, becomes notoriously chic, with its cool nightlife and fascinating social scene.

    ITINERARY AND ACTIVITIES
    • Day 1 – Vulcano: Once leaving in the morning, you will set sail to Vulcano, the island of the God of Fire, black with lava and yellow with sulfur, between the fumes of the fumaroles and the sulpurous mud with therapeutic properties. A few nautical miles from coast of Sicily and recognisable from a long distance, this volcanic island marks the beginning of the Aeolian route and offers memorable views from the tops of its hiking trails. Nothing excites newcomers like the view of Vulvano and its crater: as the first thing you’ll see once arrived harbour, you will be amazed by the beauty of tis place and the acrid smell of sulfur that permeates the air.

    • Day 2 – Lipari: Many opportunities for the morning: at sea, on board, going to visit the Grotta del Cavallo an immersing yourself in the crystal clear waters of the Pool of Venus, or on land, participating in the excursions organised in Vulcanello, with its Valle dei Mostri or going up to the Gran Cratere la Fossa, or even going to the natural spa area. Later, you’ll navigate to the southwest area of Lipari, near the Faraglioni, and then ashore: a dynamic town that allows you to carry out countlesss activities, from shopping to excursions. Walking from Mariana Lunga to Marina Corta, passing through the Fortified Citadel, means going through centuries of history and culture. The town is very lively even in the evening: the continuing between the live music of the outdoor night clubs and the discos with very suggestive locations.

    • Day 3 – Panarea: You can reach the bay of the Cave di Pornice, surprising with its white pumice mountain that becomes a beach and a white seabed, or organize dives with expert guides or guided excursions by land by bike, motorbike or taxi. You will then set sail to Panarea: you will reach the wonderful Cala Junco, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The cove is set of a prehistoric village. Panarea is the smallest and oldest island, the island of celebrities and social life, the island with no street lightning because the moonlight reflected on the white walls of the houses is enough, elegant and exotic at the same time. At dusk, an aperitif on the terraces of the Hotel Raya is inevitable. You can decide whether to dine on board or on land, in one of the island’s chic restaurants. After dinner, music will guide you from on terrace to another until late at night.

    • Day 4 – Stromboli: Set immediately set to the constellation of rocks and islets of Panarea: among these, Basiluzzo, Lisca Bianca and Bottaro, in whose vicinity underwater eruptive phenomena make the water boil. Alternatively, you can organise dives with expert guides (interesting is the visit to the wreck of Lisca Bianca), a yoga leson or relaxation and therapeutic massage sessions, on board or on a terrace with view. You will then head to Stromboli: the island is white in the houses, black in the sand, intense in the colors of the bougainvillea and the explosion of the volcano. Stromboli represents the powerful force of the earth, it is one of the most active and monitored volcanoes in the world. its inhabitants call him “Iddu”, He, in Sicilian, a confidential exorcism of danger. On the island, expert guides will lead you to climb the craters to appreciate its spectacular fire shows after the twilight. At the basin of the Sciara del Fuoco you can enjoy the explosive spectacle from the sea.

    • Day 5 – Filicudi: Sail towards the north-west side of the island of Salina, to anchor in the enchanting bay of Pollara beach, made famous by the film “The Postman” by Michael Radford winner of an Academy Awards. It is a place of rare beauty, thanks to the sheer wals within wich it is enclosed, the natural rock arch of Punta Perciato and the Balate, the ancient fishermen’s shelters set in the rock. After a taste of Salina, you will sail to the north-east coast of the island of Filicudi: primordial, quiet and informal. Its rugged and overwhelming cliffs end up in an unimaginabkle crystla clear sea that can offer fantastic dives with naturalistic and archaeological routes. Arrive at the belvedere to enjoy a sunset of indescribable beauty on the scenery of the Canna and its stacks, and then descend on the southwest side of the island, to the village of Pecorini, where the appointment for the aperitif is inevitable.

    • Day 6 – Salina: Upon awekening in front of the village of Pecorini, in addition to having the opportunity to partecipate in diving with the local divers, you will move to reach the rocky complex of the Canna and the Scoglio di Montenassari, which, with a visit to the Grotta del Bue Marino, completes the unforgettable Filicudi experience. You will then head back to Salina: this time you will reach the west coast, in Santa Marina, the capital of the island. Salina is the greenest island, from the “Fossa delle Felci, at 960mt high, to the endless cultivations of fine grapes from which the sweet and velvety Malvasia is obtained; for this, it undoubtedly deserves to be lived also by land, for example on Vespa, for incredible food and wine experience among breathtaking panorama, such as tasting of fine wines and typical products in one of its famous local cellars.

    • Day 7 – Lipari: An unmissable island ritual awaits you in the nearby town of Lingua. There, a breakfast with granita and brioches at Alfredo’s is a must, an authentic Sicilian speciality. From here, the way back begins by heading to the south-west coast of Lipari, to reach the enchanted bay of Valle Muria beach, and a final dip before returning to the Marina di Capo d’Orlando in the afternoon. once you arrive at the base, you can decide whether to continue relaxing to enjoy your boat moored in the port, or stroll at sunset among the cozy areas of the marina or along the nearby beach. You can disembark next morning.
